Skinners Creek

Like a piece of string, this single-track forest meander can be made shorter or longer

Trail information

Skinners Creek

This forest loop wanders around a network of singletracks and some 4WD trails in the Skinners Creek catchment. It can easily be varied, shortened or lengthened.

You will walk through a variety of different forest systems – paperbark, schlerophyll and rainforest in the creek. Skinners flows into Moonee Creek, and sadly was showing signs of pollution from nutrient run off.

The tracks are popular with trail runners, mountain bikers and trail bikes so keep your ears and eyes open for other trail users. If you are on a bike, make sure you duck below a fallen tree that stretches across the track at head height!

We parked at the bus bay – watch out for traffic on Bucca Road.
