An unnamed trail from the intersection of East Bank Forest Road and Boffs Road climbs quickly to the summit of Mt Coramba. Given Army Road is demarcated a “Road”, we thought the descent would be an improvement on the steep, challenging climb. How wrong we were. This is not a road! As we clambered down the rocky pitch, we were amazed to hear the subtle sound of engines disturbing the forest peace. Four vehicles lumbered into view, with young confident drivers, and disappeared up Army Not-A-Road. We could still hear their engines, now at a higher pitch, when we got back to our vehicle, tamely parked on serene East Bank Forest Road.
