Ewens Gap lookout

A short walk up onto a large rock popular with rock climbers

Trail information

Ewens Gap lookout

Park near the Sherwood Nature Reserve sign off Sherwood Creek Rd, and then follow the track to Sherwood buttress – the route up is an easy scramble on the left of the buttress.

There is an expansive view from the top of the buttress, over the tree tops towards the Yuraygir coastal range and Glenugie Peak. There are steep cliffs here, so take care especially with children. The sandstone cliffs in Sherwood NR are popular with rock climbers, and you may notice the bolts on top of the buttress.
