Dangar Falls

A short, easy walk down to a swimming hole below the falls

Trail information

Dangar Falls

Dangar Falls are on the Bielsdown River, just outside of Dorrigo.

Enjoy the excellent view of the 30m high Dangar Falls from the accessible viewing platform at the carpark with interpretive signs. Then follow the path (upgraded in 2021) that leads to the bottom of the falls. There are some stairs, a boardwalk, and another viewing platform near the bottom. Swimming below the falls is popular with locals. Back at the carpark, a coffee cart provides refreshments to enjoy in the picnic area, while a labyrinth is entertaining for adults and kids alike.

The short walk to Dangar Falls combines well with a tour of Waterfall Way, visiting other waterfalls such as Wollomombi Falls, Ebor Falls, and Crystal Shower Falls at Dorrigo National Park. Or continue on Eastern Dorrigo Way to visit Battery Falls and Bangalore Falls.
