Werrikimbe National Park, between Port Macquarie and Walcha, includes walks through Gondwana rainforest, waterfalls, lookouts and scenic 4WD trails. The high swamps are the headwaters of the Hastings, Forbes and Kunderang rivers. The range of elevation and diversity of climate provides habitat for many birds and wildlife.
